"Life is a song, and a song is a story, and I believe that it's a story worth sharing."
As a singer, songwriter, and pianist, Esera has crafted the stories of love, loss, injustice, and perserverance through his poignant lyrics and vulnerable performances. With credits that include sharing stages with prolific songtellers like Kristin Chenoweth and Imogen Heap, Esera has learned from the best - and is ready to share more.
A child of Samoan immigrants, Esera was born in LA and raised in Seattle. He began his performance career as a cruise ship entertainer, where he traveled the world and fell in love with the people and cultures in every corner of the world. Now back in the US, Esera has brought his art and experience to the Utah LGBTQ+ community through years of volunteer service at organizations like Encircle and the Utah Pride Center. In May, Esera graduated from Utah Valley University with his bachelor's in commercial music, and was immediately hired to return as an Adjunct professor in UVU's thriving music department.
The future looks bright for this songteller. Esera released his first demo in the summer of 2023 and is working with new producers on more singles to come. He performed live at the Equality Utah Allies Gala in October, and he's already slated for some upcoming performances in February in the Salt Lake area. Watch for more to come from this rising star.
